But I hated having to answer politically-charged questions anyway: There are way too many people who absolutely, pathologically need to shove their politics in your face at every opportunity, and the only thing you can really do about it is to try not to contribute to the problem. For instance, you couldn’t talk about the influence of the RapeLay controversy, or the so-called Olympic Effect, without inherently tying it to the political bullshit that caused it. I’ve wanted to do that for a while, but I hesitated because it could dissuade actual relevant discussion. Well, guess who’s on the verge of getting his account banned for hate speech! On a site filled with raceplay blogs! What a shock.įor starters, thanks to this, I’ve finally banned overtly political questions. ![]() Hey, remember a week or so ago, when I shortened the word “Japanese” to make a sentence flow better? Or when, in a follow-up question, I said that only a moron would get upset at that? And said a certain other word in a completely neutral context, when talking about how people ridiculously overreact to any use of it whatsoever? He did post a couple of days about making a backup blog, but his tumblr account was nuked before he posted the new link. ![]()
